Pathways Trained Clinical Advisors- NHS 111 Service
Location – Whiteley
Our client is a continually expanding Primary Care and Urgent Care provider which partners with the NHS, they are currently looking to appoint a number of Pathways Trained Clinical Advisors to join their NHS 111 team. As a partner of the NHS the organisation in question has an unswerving commitment to high standards, a proactive approach towards patient care and to achieving the delivery of a patient focussed service.
Our client is seeking professional, enthusiastic, Pathways Trained Clinical Advisors with NMC/HCPC registration and a minimum of three years post qualification professional experience.
The successful applicants will join our clients NHS 111 team delivering the service during peak out of hours periods (weekday evenings and weekends).
Pathways Trained Clinical Advisors will be required to:
- To undertake telephone clinical assessment (triage) with the support of diagnostic software providing advice and, if necessary, onward referral to the appropriate agency/professional, for people with a wide range of conditions.
- To critically analyse complex information alongside professional skills, knowledge and experience. To negotiate with patients the most appropriate course of action to meet their immediate health needs.
- To provide and receive highly complex and contentious information and have the ability to diffuse potentially emotive situations such as distressed parents, those suffering or caring for the terminally ill.
- To ensure clear, accurate and detailed clinical records are maintained and updated via a computer system, maintaining computer literacy skills and attending mandatory training as required.
