We are currently looking for a senior care officer based in Birmingham
The home is a 2 bedded home for children ages 10-17 and is registered as an EBD service.
The team structure is 1 manager, 1 deputy, 2 seniors, 5 residential care staff (3 days, 2 night staff)
The young people are staffed on a 1-1 basis and the home has a night wake and a sleep in of a night time.
- Qualification expectation
There would be an expectation that the candidate is qualified with the level 3 NVQ/Diploma or is close to finishing this
They would need to have experience in working in a children’s residential home for at least 1 year
- Structure and expectation of rotas, sleep ins, weekends, etc
The rota pattern is…
Long day (07.30 – 22.00),
Two days off,
Long day with sleep in (07.30 – 22.00) sleep in is from 22.00 – 08.00,
Two days off –
This then repeats
The role will involve shift work, weekends holidays and will be based on a 37.5 hour working week.
